Great team spirit from the U11 Vixens....

Saturday 8th October saw the U11 Vixens third League game at home against Winsor United.

With Bobby as this weeks Captain the team entered into a competitive first quarter which prevented either side from taking the lead. The Vixens upped the tempo entering into the second by finding their feet and Bella B taking a strong lead with the first spot on the score sheet.

Marnie who played her debut match for the team today followed shortly after. Not content with that, Jessica executed two confident strikes in quick succession meaning that our girls had a strong lead at half time.

In the third quarter, the girls again came out strong with unwavering determination and a desire to show their abilities. Poppy got herself on the score sheet for the first time too after finding herself through on goal with a great finish to beat the opposition GK. Winsor responded, pushing back hard forcing GK Maisy to really work, putting her body to the test. With two great diving saves, tipping one onto the post and another out for a corner she earned the nickname ‘Maisy the cat’ diving here there and everywhere with strong responses and quick reflexes.

Going into the fourth quarter Jessica achieved a hat-trick beating the keeper with a strike from the edge of the area. The Vixens went on to observe the parity rule and conceded in the last few minutes. The opposition nominated two PoTM this week, for the second consecutive week and her amazing saves- Maisy and also Bella B for her capacity to consistently test the opposition defence throughout play.

The Coaching Team are always very proud of all the players tenacity and team spirit. This week saw a great display from the girls in all positions played. Well done Vixens!!!
